Nyahzul C Blanco
is a Colombian multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY
Nyahzul is a multidisciplinary artist and tattooer born in Bogotá, Colombia and based in Brooklyn, New York. Her creative practice bridges fine art, curation, and tattooing — blending the surreal and the emotional through a distinctive glitch-inspired and illustrative style.
She has been actively tattooing for over Six years, while exhibiting and curating artwork for more than a decade in Los Angeles, Orlando, Detroit, New York City, Las Vegas, and her hometown of Bogotá. Her work evokes magical and romantic narratives, exploring the duality of femininity, darkness, and light— and the unity found between them.
From 2011 to 2016, she served as Associate Director at Rabbithole Studios in Brooklyn, curating over 100 exhibitions. She later co-founded Fakelore and worked as Art Director on the award-winning stop-motion animation “Pecos Bill” and its sequel “Madremonte.”
In 2016, Nyahzul began a transformative apprenticeship at Last Rites Tattoo in Manhattan under the legendary Paul Booth, deepening her understanding of tattoo artistry and visual storytelling. She currently tattoos at White Rabbit Tattoo (Manhattan) and 1983 Art Studio (Brooklyn), continuing to expand her practice as both a tattoo artist and visual creator.
Her tattoos merge glitch aesthetics, illustrative linework, and fine-art sensibility — designed for those who seek custom pieces that embody emotion, symbolism, and individuality.
